The short version: TripHero helps you plan trips and recover from travel disruptions. We work hard to give you accurate, useful guidance, but flight data comes from third parties and can change by the minute - always confirm anything time-critical with your airline. Bookings made through partner links are fulfilled by those partners under their own terms, and some links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TripHero ("TripHero," "we," "us"), the operator of trip-hero.com and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
TripHero provides travel information, trip monitoring, disruption alerts, and guidance about your options when flights are delayed, canceled, or diverted. TripHero is not an airline, a licensed travel agent, an insurer, or a law firm. Information about passenger rights, compensation, and rebooking options is provided for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice. Your rights depend on your specific ticket, carrier, route, and circumstances - verify with the airline or a qualified professional before relying on it.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or data; (c) probe, disable, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security features; (d) impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation; (e) resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission; or (f) use automated systems to access the Service other than ordinary search engine indexing.
Flight status, delay estimates, airport conditions, and similar data are drawn from third-party and government sources. This data can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, and predictions are exactly that - predictions. TripHero does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any data or guidance, and you should not rely on the Service as your only source of information for time-critical travel decisions.
Where the Service links to or facilitates bookings - flights, hotels, rental cars, trains, or other travel products - the booking is made with and fulfilled by the relevant travel provider or booking partner under that party's own terms and privacy policy. TripHero is not a party to those transactions and is not responsible for the provider's performance, cancellations, refunds, or service.
Some links on the Service are affiliate links, which means TripHero may earn a commission if you click them or make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. We identify affiliate relationships on our Travel Partners page. Affiliate relationships do not change our guidance: our disruption recommendations are generated the same way whether or not a partner is involved.
If you enable them, we send alerts by push notification, email, or SMS. You consent to receiving these messages; standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to SMS. Delivery is not guaranteed - networks fail, devices are offline, and providers have outages - so never rely solely on TripHero alerts for a time-critical decision. You can turn alerts off at any time in your Preferences.
The Service - including its content, design, software, and branding - belongs to TripHero or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own travel. No other rights are granted.
You keep ownership of the information you submit (trip details, preferences, messages). You grant us a license to use it as needed to operate and improve the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIPHERO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, MISSED FLIGHTS, MISSED CONNECTIONS, OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE TRAVEL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) US $100 OR (B) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TRIPHERO IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to defend and hold TripHero harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it, with reasonable notice where practicable, and immediately in the case of violations of these Terms.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will give notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice) before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TripHero is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
